Capsule Geology

The East Chicken showing, accessed by the Trapper Road, is located south of Zymoetz River, 29.5 kilometres east-southeast of Terrace B.C.

Medium grained felspar porphyritic diorite to monzonite of the Cretaceous to Tertiary Coast Plutonic Complex contains moderate to strong stockwork fractures. The East Chicken discovery contains fracture-associated zinc-lead-copper-silver-gold mineralization, epidote alteration and pervasive weakly clay altered wallrock alteration. Mineralization extends westward over an approximately 75 metre wide zone for at least 420 metres to the Chicken showing (103I 159) and may extend east-northeast to the Kelly Creek prospects (103I 092).

In 2019, prospecting and geochemical work conducted on the Kelly Creek Property for R. Billingsley included sampling of seven rocks from the East Chicken 2019 discovery. One sample (11S171860-866) assayed 1.78 grams per tonne Au, 25 grams per tonne Ag, 0.474 per cent Cu, 1.16 per cent Pb, 1.45 per cent Zn (Assessment Report 38949).
